This annual Heal the Ocean event, which raises critical funds to keep our campaign moving forward all year long , is being held at the beautiful Coral Casino Pacifica Room on Channel Drive, next to the sea. We are changing things this year – we will have a sit-down dinner while being greeted by our wonderfully funny honorary host, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and there will be a fast-paced program emceed by celebrated underwater filmmaker and famed storyteller Mike deGruy! Described as a “consummate storyteller,” see Mike deGruy on stage at Mission Blue in his lively, funny, now famous, talk “Hooked by an Octopus!” Above all, be prepared to DANCE! After dinner, the bar will stay open, dessert will be presented buffet style, and Santa Barbara’s favorite FOG (Favorite Oldies Group) will take the stage to play all of your favorite tunes—you won’t be able to stay seated for all the good stuff they play. There are always surprises at Heal the Ocean annual events, and we look forward to having a few to share with you.
